Kanye West graced everyone with his presence at OVO Fest on Monday and had some interesting news to share!  During his set with Canada’s favourite rapper –Drake, he hinted at a possible album collaboration with Drake on the horizon.

Both rappers have previously entertained the possibility of working with each other. Let’s hope it will come to fruition!

Speaking of Mr West, Kanye caused quite a stir on twitter when he commented on the feud between Tidal and Apple Music. West urged Apple to buy Tidal and stop wasting time. This isn’t the first time we are hearing about this possible purchase. The Wall Street Journal was first to report Apple’s interest in buying Tidal about a month ago. In the past couple of months, we have been privy to the intense competition between streaming sites, namely Apple, Tidal and Spotify. Tidal tried to up the ante by exclusively releasing both Rihanna and Kanye West’s albums before it was available to other streaming platforms. Apple then followed suit releasing Drake’s album Views on Apple Music, which in 24 hours, had amassed about 600,000 album sales.

Kanye expressed his frustration on how this competition is affecting music lovers and how he, Drake, Jay Z, his manager Scooter Braun and representatives from both companies needed to sit down and hash it all out.

Fair point Kanye. At this stage, it seems as though one has to have to Spotify, Apple and Tidal in order to have access to a full catalogue of music. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
