What To Wear in Summer 2017
From Jason Wu’s neon collection to the emergence of see now buy now, there were a lot of moments big moments on and off the runway at NYFW. CTDS has put together a list of trends from the SS17 (and in some cases AW16) collections.
The ruffled style was present on nearly every runway fitting in nicely with the romantic flirty vibe we are expecting in 2017. Swoon, can it be summer again already?
It’s not just Kim Kardashian that’s decided to bare it all, designers at NYFW are also asking us to bare it all; sometimes from all angles. Here are some of our favourite sheer looks.
Jason Wu’s collection deserves its own trend, it was just that beautiful.
We are all dressing down, even Victoria Beckham cut back on the fitted work clothes. It makes me wonder what all the working class women will wear to their meetings. We’re all going to be walking around giving our chicest ‘I just rolled out of bed’ vibe. If your dresscode is casual there is more than enough for you in SS17.
Wide Leg Pants and Full A-Line Skirts
We all need to start clearing out the skinny jeans and pencil skirts to make room for wider cut pants and full skirts. They were on almost every runway and fit perfectly with the romantic mood of SS17.
It was all the rage at shows like Tom Ford, Thakoon and Tommy Hilfiger. Fashion’s latest invention was launched and we are anxiously awaiting the reports. This was probably the biggest story out of New York on and off the runway. We’ll keep you posted on how successful this has been.
