Major Changes at Roberto Cavalli
It seems the reorganisation of the fashion industry is not yet over as yet another shocking departure was announced today. Creative Director Peter Dundas is leaving Roberto Cavalli just 19 months after rejoining the label.
Dundas only took the role in March 2015 and had began to gain traction with his last two collections. I mean he even hit the pop culture milestone when Beyoncé rocked his design in her while swinging that bat. And if that is not enough, he dressed Kim Kardashian for the Met Ball. Unfortunately the traction was not fast enough to create financial success for the label and now Dundas is out.
In a statement released to WWD, Dundas wished the Cavalli team all the best and it seems they will be needing it. In addition to Dundas leaving, the label is also facing a company wide reorganisation with nearly 200 job losses and a move from Milan to Florence.
